Disability Living Allowance

Asked by Siân BerryGreen PartyDepartment for Work and PensionsTabled Answered 20 July 2026UIN 18415

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, whether he plans to apply the findings from the Timms Review of Personal Independence Payment: interim report to Disability Living Allowance in areas where elements of both systems operate in similar ways.

Answered by Sir Stephen Timms

The Terms of Reference for the Timms Review set out the broad scope of the Review to ensure that PIP is fair and fit for the future. Disability Living Allowance is not in scope for this Review.

The steering group published its interim report on 9 July, providing an update on its work to date. Recommendations will be set out in the final report to be made to the Secretary of State in the autumn.
