Hospices

Asked by Paul DaviesLabourDepartment of Health and Social CareTabled Answered 14 July 2026UIN 901015

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps his Department is taking to support the hospice sector.

Answered by Stephen Kinnock

Hospices play a vital role in palliative care.
We have provided £125 million capital funding to the sector and are providing around £80 million revenue funding to children and young people’s hospices over three years. This Autumn we will publish a Modern Service Framework for Palliative Care and End-of-Life Care, providing the tools to improve access, quality and sustainability across the sector.
