Military Intelligence
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the Defence Investment Plan, published on 30 June 2026, paragraph 103, in what way he will boost capacity via the implementation of a more integrated intelligence enterprise.
Answered by Louise Sandher-Jones
In line with the Strategic Defence Review, Military Intelligence Services (MIS) will strengthen integration across Defence intelligence organisations and with partners across Government, industry and academia, enabling intelligence to be collected, analysed and shared more effectively. This will be supported by investment in critical intelligence capabilities, the accelerated adoption of advanced technologies and data-driven tools, and improved interoperability across the intelligence enterprise. MIS will also empower its people by attracting, training, educating and retaining a world-class intelligence workforce.
