The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how much (a) her Department and (b) the Office for Students has spent on public affairs services provided by Public First since July 2024; and for what purposes.

Between 1 July 2024 and 17 July 2026, the department spent £32,400 with Public First on strategic advice and insight on education, with a specific focus on schools and special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The department reimbursed Public First £1,414 to indemnify costs incurred attending a conference. The Office for Students (OfS) has had no spending with Public First in relation to public affairs services.
