Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade: Flint Global

Asked by Mike WoodConservativeDepartment for Business, Innovation, Science and TradeTabled Answered 2 September 2026UIN 19349

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, with reference to the Ministerial meeting between the Rt hon. Member for Lothian East and Flint Global of 4 March 2025, whether James Purnell was in attendance; and which of the declared firms listed in the gov.uk return were Flint Global clients.

Answered by Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade

The meeting was hosted by Flint Global and James Purnell was in attendance. It formed part of a wider programme of engagement from the Minister to help develop the UK’s Trade Strategy. Engagement with business stakeholders on issues affecting their ability to trade, including in a changing global context, is standard practice and has informed our approach to our Trade Strategy.
