The question
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, pursuant to the answer of 16 July to question 17649, what date it was determined that the UK has met NATO's 1.5% defence and security-related spending target.
Answered by Treasury
The UK has met NATO’s 1.5% defence and security-related spending target, as defined by NATO. The UK’s spending total was reported into the NATO International Staff ahead of the NATO Summit in July and was reflected in the press releases from NATO at the Summit, such as the Defence Investment Update.
