Cancer: Children

Asked by Sorcha EastwoodAllianceDepartment of Health and Social CareTabled Answered 3 September 2026UIN 19604

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how the £10 million England fund to cover the travel costs of children with cancer was calculated; and what assessment he has made of the potential merits of extending the fund across the UK.

Answered by Department of Health and Social Care

I refer the Hon Member to the answer she received on 10 February in response to Question 110553, and I repeat that the Department continues to work closely with our counterparts in the devolved administrations to share expertise in this area, and identify new opportunities to improve health and social care delivery across the United Kingdom.
