Asked by Mark PritchardConservativeDepartment for Digital, Culture, Media and SportTabled Answered 8 September 2026UIN 19912

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, what steps she plans to take to provide youth sport coaches with improved access to training on neurodiversity.

Answered by Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport

Sport England, the Government’s Arm’s Length Body for grassroots sport, has partnered with Neurodiverse Sport and Autism Action to understand the barriers to participation for neurodiverse people and support sector partners to offer inclusive activity.

Additionally, Sport England's “Play Their Way” campaign empowers coaches to adopt a child-first approach with tailored resources and case studies on supporting neurodivergent children and young people.
