To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, pursuant to the answer of 7 July 2026, to Question 12140, on Tower Hamlets Council: Meetings, whether her Department has issued guidance to local authorities on whether council meetings can be conducted, in whole or part, in languages other than English.

To facilitate public scrutiny and public reporting, local authorities should not conduct their meetings in foreign languages.
