The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, with reference to her Department's document entitled The Rycroft Review: HM Government response, published on 6 July 2026, whether the (a) all donor and (b) prospective candidate declaration requirements will apply to donations from (i) unincorporated associations and (ii) trade unions; and whether the all donor declarations will apply to gifts and donations to (1) unincorporated associations and (2) members’ associations.

Answered by Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government

We announced in response to the Rycroft Review that we would introduce a donor declaration requirement for relevant donations in order to support the effective implementation of the Review's recommendations. The Government will bring forward further details in due course.
