The question

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what discussions she has had with HMRC Valuation Office on whether the council tax revaluation in Wales should (a) be revenue neutral and (b) increase the overall tax take.

HMRC Valuation Office’s role is to place properties in Wales into Council Tax bands. It does not determine Council Tax rates and is not responsible for revenues or wider taxation policy.
