Valuation Office Agency: Recruitment

Asked by Mike WoodConservativeTreasuryTabled Answered 8 September 2026UIN 20510

The question

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, with reference to the Valuation Office Agency annual report and accounts, 2025-26, HC401, 9 July 2026, pages 31 and 36, whether the socio-economic background of the applicant is a material consideration in the employment of individual applicants for staff positions; and if he will place the VOA’s Social Mobility Action Plan in the Library.

Answered by Treasury

The VO welcomes applications for staff positions from a wide range of backgrounds. Socio-economic backgrounds are not a criterion for determining the appointment of included candidates.
