The question

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what the estimated change in private rent sector rents is for an average (a) flat and (b) house in (1) London and (2) England since July 2024 in absolute cash and percentage terms.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) publishes official statistics on private rental prices, including separate series for flats and for detached, semi-detached and terraced properties.
