Business Rates

Asked by Sir James CleverlyConservativeTreasuryTabled Answered 7 September 2026UIN 20391

The question

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, pursuant to the answer of 29 June 2026 to Question 11670 on Business Rates, whether his Department has produced its own assessment.

Answered by Treasury

Forecasts for business rates receipts are published by the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) as part of its Economic and Fiscal Outlook (EFO). Business rates receipts form part of the OBR's forecasts for public sector receipts and can be found in the receipts section of the EFO and the accompanying detailed forecast tables published alongside each forecast.
