Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office: EU Grants and Loans

Asked by Mike WoodConservativeForeign, Commonwealth and Development OfficeTabled Answered 8 September 2026UIN 20598

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, further to the FCDO Annual Report and Accounts 2025-26, HC521, of 16 July 2026, page 236, what programmes are funded from EU Attribution in 2025-26.

Answered by Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office

The £161.9 million EU Attribution figure represents the United Kingdom's share of development-related expenditure attributable to the UK in respect of outstanding commitments under the Withdrawal Agreement, including commitments under the 2014-2020 EU Multiannual Financial Framework and the European Development Fund. The expenditure covers a range of EU development programmes financed through those instruments. Further information is published by the European Commission and, in the case of the European Development Fund, on the Government's Development Tracker.
