Information Rights User Group

Asked by Mike WoodConservativeCabinet OfficeTabled Answered 7 September 2026UIN 20752

The question

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, whether the Information Rights User Group has met since April 2024.

Answered by Cabinet Office

The Information Rights User Group, which was established as part of the Fifth National Action Plan for Open Government, has not met since April 2024.

In March 2026 the Cabinet Office called for evidence for The Seventh National Action Plan for Open Government (NAP7). Cabinet Office received a range of ideas on the theme of ‘access to information and digital governance’ and it was assessed that further discussion was needed on the potential for developing any commitments.
