Strikes

Asked by Mike WoodConservativeCabinet OfficeTabled Answered 8 September 2026UIN 20889

The question

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, what assessment she has made of the potential impact of the Employment Rights Act 2025 on the likelihood and consequences of disruptive strike action in the context of the National Risk Register.

Answered by Cabinet Office

All risks in the National Risk Register, including those related to industrial action and employment, are kept under review to ensure that they are the most appropriate scenarios to inform emergency preparedness and resilience activity.

Lead government departments are responsible for providing updates and use the latest evidence and analysis to ensure the government’s assessment of risks reflects the risk landscape.
