Disinformation: Reviews
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, with reference to the answer of 20 April 2026 to Question 124636 on Disinformation: Reviews, what the timetable is for publishing the report; whether the Government will respond formally; and whether the recommendations will be incorporated into the Social Cohesion Action Plan programme of work.
Answered by Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade
"False and Misleading Information: An Evidence Summary and Map for Policy and Practice" by Behavioural Research UK was published online in May this year. The Government has no plans to make a formal response to what is a review of evidence concerning the origins of misinformation, harms that arise and potential mitigations. There are no recommendations as such in the report.
