Insolvency Service: Global Counsel

Asked by Mike WoodConservativeDepartment for Business, Innovation, Science and TradeTabled Answered 7 September 2026UIN 20956

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, whether Global Counsel emails have been retained by the Insolvency Service.

Answered by Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade

The Insolvency Service holds records relating to Global Counsel Ltd. The agency does not maintain a central record of all email correspondence relating to a particular company. Establishing the volume of email correspondence that has been retained would require extensive searches across individual and shared email accounts, which would incur disproportionate cost.
