The question

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, pursuant to the answer of 8 June 2026 to Question 4139 on Government Departments: Cost Effectiveness, if he will place in the Library a copy of the efficiency saving reports provided to HM Treasury by each department for the last reported quarter.

Departments are required to report their efficiency savings within the performance section of their Annual Reports and Accounts (ARAs) from 2026-27. For more detail on efficiency savings inclusion in ARAs, please see section 5.4.4 of the Government Financial Reporting Manual.
