Civil Service: Recruitment

Asked by Mike WoodConservativeHome OfficeTabled Answered 8 September 2026UIN 21008

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, further to the letter from the First Civil Service Commissioner to Permanent Secretaries dated 22 June 2026, and the letter to the Home Office of 22 June 2026, what specific Civil Service Director recruitment campaign and role was affected by the Fundamental Breach referred to in that letter.

Answered by Home Office

The Government does not disclose information on protective security at specific sites, including funding arrangements. This reflects a long-standing policy designed to protect the integrity and effectiveness of security measures, as the release of such information could increase vulnerabilities and compromise site security.
