Great British Energy: Staff

Asked by Mike WoodConservativeDepartment for Energy Security and Net ZeroTabled Answered 8 September 2026UIN 21021

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, what proportion of GB Energy staff live outside Scotland; and how many days a week the staff must be in the office in Scotland.

Answered by Department for Energy Security and Net Zero

The Government does not keep records of Great British Energy (GBE) staff home addresses. GBE does not set a fixed number of office days, instead agreeing working arrangements individually and supporting hybrid working where appropriate, though this may not suit all roles or teams. As an operationally independent company, it is for GBE to set its own working policies.
