Answered by Department for Energy Security and Net Zero
Negotiations continue so that the UK/EU reset will deliver for the British people on deals that will boost trade, enhance energy security and create opportunities for young people.
We will negotiate an electricity agreement with the EU with the aim of cutting the cost of trading electricity with European partners, strengthening our energy security, driving investment in the North Sea, and helping to achieve our Clean Power 2030 Mission.
The timing of any EU institutional ratification process is a matter for those institutions.
