EU Budget: Contributions

Asked by Mike WoodConservativeTreasuryTabled Answered 8 September 2026UIN 21042

The question

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, pursuant to the answer of 18 June 2026, to Question 8151, on EU Budget: Contribution, if he will publish the precise value of the annual commitments of affiliation to (a) the European Criminal Records Information System and (b) Road Transport Agencies, and (c) and other affiliation referenced in the answer, other than Erasmus+.

Answered by Treasury

Payments for participation in EU agencies and systems are made by the relevant department. In 2025/26, the Home Office provided the EU with c.£0.2m for the European Criminal Records Information System and the Department for Transport provided the EU with c.£0.1m for Road Transport Agencies participation. Future contributions could be subject to fluctuations, for instance to reflect exchange rates.
