The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what lessons have been learnt from the UK's involvement in NATO’s Operation Baltic Sentry.

Baltic Sentry was established by NATO following concerns about damage to undersea critical infrastructure in the Baltic Sea. The UK contributes Royal Air Force P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft and RC-135 Rivet Joint surveillance aircraft towards this activity.
UK involvement has provided valuable lessons in interoperability with NATO Allies, strengthening the Alliance's ability to coordinate surveillance, share information, maintain situational awareness and respond collectively to threats against critical undersea infrastructure. This demonstrates the UK's commitment to NATO as the cornerstone of Euro-Atlantic security, consistent with the NATO First approach outlined in the Strategic Defence Review of 2025.
