To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to page 112 of his Department’s Strategic Defence Review, published on 2 June 2025, what progress has been made on improving the RAF’s productivity, agility and adaptability to build greater readiness and resilience.

The RAF is improving productivity across the Air Enterprise through a portfolio approach that prioritises and measures outcomes to increase operational output, improve affordability and enhance workforce effectiveness. Spanning aircraft platforms and key enablers, this work supports delivery of the Strategic Defence Review by increasing readiness, resilience, agility and adaptability.
Over the last year, the Air productivity portfolio has delivered cashable and non-cashable benefits, reduced forecast spend, and improved platform serviceability and availability. It brings together a range of interventions, including improved planning, greater workforce agility and process improvement, with the Optimise initiative forming a key part of this wider approach.
