Asked by Stuart AndersonConservativeMinistry of DefenceTabled Answered 8 September 2026UIN 21641

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what progress he has made on developing the resilience of military space systems since the Strategic Defence Review.

Answered by Ministry of Defence

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has continued to invest in resilient military space capabilities, focused on space control, decision advantage, and supporting Defence's ability to understand threats and conduct operations. In line with the Defence Investment Plan, this includes investment in space domain awareness, command and control, satellite communications, and space-based intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.

The Department does not comment on the detailed capabilities of its space systems for operational and security reasons.
