The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether the number of defence personnel embedded within the Integrated Defence Network will remain the same over the next decade.

Answered by Ministry of Defence

The number of Defence personnel embedded within the Integrated Global Defence Network was recently assessed through the Network Review to ensure the network is appropriately configured to meet Defence’s core roles, priorities and operational requirements. The review is implementing a series of resource neutral organisational and structural changes to Defence’s overseas footprint to strengthen engagement and operational support. The network laydown will remain under continual review over the next decade and will change as required to reflect Defence priorities, operational requirements and available resources.
