The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, pursuant to the answer of 23 June 2026 to question 9713 titled Cameras: Wearable Technology, if his Department will take steps to strengthen the law on this issue, considering the increase in the availability of smart glasses.

Existing criminal offences and online safety protections already provide safeguards against harmful conduct. The Government will continue to monitor developments in wearable technology, including the increasing availability of smart glasses, and keep the effectiveness of the legislative framework under review.
