Hydrotherapy: Greater Manchester
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment her Department has made of the adequacy of access to hydrotherapy services in (a) Stockport and (b) Greater Manchester.
Answered by Department of Health and Social Care
The Department has not made an assessment of the adequacy of access to hydrotherapy services in Greater Manchester as a whole. The Stockport NHS Foundation Trust has reviewed its hydrotherapy service and has determined that it is more appropriate to offer patients alternative evidence-based rehabilitation pathways in line with clinical guidance.
