To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what steps she is taking to reduce regional inequalities in railcard provision; and whether she will make it her policy to introduce a single nationwide Network Railcard.

A range of national and regional Railcards are available to eligible passengers, alongside local concessionary schemes introduced by local authorities and train operators.
The Railways Bill gives Great British Railways the flexibility to update and expand concessionary offers as passenger needs evolve. Any future changes would need to balance the benefits for passengers against the impacts on taxpayers and the railway.
