Barbecues: Parks

Asked by David SimmondsConservativeMinistry of Housing, Communities and Local GovernmentTabled Answered 8 September 2026UIN 22087

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what information her Department holds on how many local authorities have byelaws against barbeques in public parks in operation.

Answered by Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government

This data is not held centrally. Local authorities are responsible for making and administering byelaws in their areas, and the Department does not maintain a central record of all specific byelaws currently in force.
