Homelessness
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what steps her Department is taking to improve early warning indicators used by local authorities to intervene before individuals and families become imminently homeless.
Answered by Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government
Preventing homelessness is at the core of our National Plan to End Homelessness. It is critical that local authorities have the resources that they need to intervene before individuals and families become homeless, which is why we have increased funding for homelessness and rough sleeping to a record £4 billion over the next three years. We will also publish a Prevention Toolkit to support councils to take steps to support households at risk and prevent homelessness.
