To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what steps he is taking to improve customer service performance within HM Revenue and Customs in relation to correspondence and repayment claims.

HMRC’s correspondence service standard is to respond to 80% of priority post, including repayment claims, within 15 working days.
