Department for Transport: Westminster Hall Sittings
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if she will provide an estimate of the number of hours were spent (a) responding to and (b) preparing for Westminster Hall Debates by (i) government ministers, (ii) civil servants and (iii) special advisers in her Department for each parliamentary session for which the information is available.
Answered by Department for Transport
It is not possible to provide an estimate of the numbers of hours spent responding to and preparing for Westminster Hall Debates since there will be differences in each case in the costs of Civil Service, Special Adviser and Ministerial time depending on the policy matter and length of the debate.
