The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to recommendation 61 of the 2025 Strategic Defence Review, what progress he has made in maximising the use of Defence’s assets where it retains land, including through site development and energy generation.

All of the Ministry of Defence estate has undergone a thorough review and assessment for alternative uses, including other defence requirements, housing, energy generation and natural capital.
