The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what organisations comprise the UK National Arsenal.

The National Armaments Director (NAD) Group is responsible for delivering the UK's national arsenal.

Led by the National Armaments Director, the Group unites the strengths of teams working across nine 3* Director General areas:

  • National Armaments International (NA-Intl)
  • National Armaments Plans & Portfolios (NA-P&P)
  • National Armaments Materiel (NA-M) (formerly part of Defence Equipment and Support)
  • National Armaments Innovation (NA-Innov) (including Defence Science and Technology Laboratory and UK Defence Innovation)
  • National Armaments Logistics & Support (NA-L&S) (formerly Defence Support)
  • National Armaments Digital & Data (NA-D&D) (formerly Defence Digital)
  • National Armaments Commercial & Industry (NA-C&I) (formerly Defence Commercial and Industry)
  • National Armaments Corporate (NA-C) (including Corporate Services Modernisation and Defence Business Services)
  • Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO)
