HMS Dreadnought
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to his Department's news story entitled Major £8.4bn investment advances UK nuclear deterrent and backs British industry, published on 30 July 2026, in what year is HMS Dreadnought scheduled to commence sea trials.
Answered by Ministry of Defence
Providing the dates of sea trials for the Dreadnought class would, or would be likely to, prejudice the capability, effectiveness or security of the Armed Forces. Dreadnought will conduct her sea trials at an appropriate time so that she will be ready to enter service in the early 2030s.
