The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment he has made of the potential impact of Lockheed Martin limiting F-35 production to 156 aircraft per year on the delivery of the next tranche of F-35 aircraft for the UK Lightning Force.

The Department’s assessment, based on a production line output of 156 F-35 aircraft per year, is that there is sufficient production capacity for UK aircraft when the next tranche is ordered.
