The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to paragraph 3.2.23 of the Defence Investment Plan, published on 30 June 2026, what progress he has made in ensuring that every contract signed by his Department since its publication has delivered more British jobs, apprenticeships and innovation.

As set out in the Defence Investment Plan, the Ministry of Defence will bring forward a package of Back British measures to ensure defence investment strengthens and rebuilds and UK capability, resilience and sovereign industrial capacity, while delivering the Defence Dividend across every region and nation of the UK. Further details, including monitoring arrangements, will be published in due course.
