Answered by Department for Education

The nomination window for the School Rebuilding Programme is now closed. Responsible bodies were invited to nominate schools and sixth form colleges that met the criteria set out on GOV.UK by midday on Thursday 23 April 2026.

Assessment is now underway. The department will select 250 schools to join the programme by early 2027. Places will be prioritised for schools and sixth forms in poorer condition which are in areas of current and future high demand.
