The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what recent progress has her Department made in negotiating the acquisition of land from Cambridgeshire Constabulary in order to facilitate the rebuild of Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

Answered by Department of Health and Social Care

The New Hospital Programme team in the Department is not involved in any such negotiations. The Strategic Outline Case for the scheme was approved by the Department’s Joint Investment Committee on 22 October 2025. The business case for the land acquisition is also progressing to the Department’s Joint Investment Committee for approval.
