Asked by Ben Obese-JectyConservativeMinistry of DefenceTabled Answered 7 September 2026UIN 23209

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what is the scope of the Ministry of Defence Police’s Project Servator.

Answered by Ministry of Defence

The Ministry of Defence Police (MDP) is a specialist police force that protects Defence sites, people, and assets, and contributes to national security.

Project Servator is a strategic policing tactic used by the force to deter, detect, and disrupt criminal activity and terrorism using highly visible, unpredictable police deployments.

Project Servator is deployed when it is determined to be the most effective way of delivering the required policing for Defence. Deployments can happen at any time, and in collaboration with other police forces and appropriate partners, to effectively deter criminals and terrorists and disrupt their operations.
