To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority Major Projects Annual Report 2025 to 2026, Tables, Ground Based Air Defence, for what reason was the agreed Whole Life Cost cut from £2967.59M to £1589.63M following a rebaselining exercise against a revised affordable envelope.

I would like to clarify that funding has not been cut. The NISTA report in Quarter 4 (FY24/25) included estimated funding in future years. The Ministry of Defence works on a rolling 10-year profile, this does not include any estimated funding in Year 11 onwards. This was identified in Quarter 4 (FY25/26) and corrected.
Although it may have appeared like the funding was cut, over the confirmed 10-year period the funding line remains similar.
