The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority Major Projects Annual Report 2025 to 2026, Tables, Next Generation (Fixed) Communication Network, how far beyond the allocated funding to the Programme is the reported completion date of 30 August 2030.

At the time of the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority review, the risk-adjusted schedules indicated a potential delivery timeline extending beyond the period covered by the Defence Investment Plan funding allocation.

The latest schedule indicates that the Programme has sufficient funding allocated within the Defence Investment Plan to achieve delivery.
