To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority Major Projects Annual Report 2025 to 2026, Tables, Mechanised Infantry Programme, what assessment he has made of the potential impact of changes to funding on the army's future procurements.

The reduction in the Mechanised Infantry Programme Whole Life Cost reported in the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority Major Projects Annual Report 2025-26 reflects Defence Investment Plan outcomes and Army reprioritisation decisions.
This includes the reallocation of funding provision for some previously planned additional future capability procurements from the Boxer programme baseline, to be delivered through different routes as technologies and solutions evolve and in line with the Army’s 20/40/40 force structure plans.
The Department has assessed the implications of these changes and remains satisfied that the Army’s capability requirements can be met through its wider equipment portfolio and investment plans.
