To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what progress has been made on the Spearfish upgrade programme.

The Spearfish Upgrade Programme is making strong progress in delivering enhanced capability for the Royal Navy. Following the identification of a technical issue in late 2024, work has progressed at pace to identify and implement a resolution. This has required additional testing and programme activity. A review note, reflecting the impact on delivery timescales, was submitted in July 2026.
