To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority Major Projects Annual Report 2025 to 2026, Tables, Mechanised Infantry Programme, by when does he plan to achieve Initial Operating Capability.

Answered by Ministry of Defence

Following a programme reset, the Mechanised Infantry Programme is currently forecast to achieve Initial Operating Capability by Quarter 2 2027. This remains subject to continuing affordability considerations and programme delivery performance.
