Armed Forces: Recruitment

Asked by Ben Obese-JectyConservativeMinistry of DefenceTabled Answered 8 September 2026UIN 23359

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority Major Projects Annual Report 2025 to 2026, Tables, Armed Forces Recruitment Programme, what progress he has made on aggregating information to allow for improved tracking of progress.

Answered by Ministry of Defence

The Armed Forces Recruiting Programme is developing a common data model and integrated digital platform to bring together information from across the three Services and provide a single view of candidate progress throughout the recruitment journey.

Work is also under way to establish strategic and operational dashboards, consistent performance measures and role-based reporting. Once implemented, these capabilities will provide Defence with improved access to recruitment data, support earlier identification of delays and attrition within the pipeline, and enable timelier, evidence-based intervention to improve candidate progression and recruiting performance.
