The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority Major Projects Annual Report 2025 to 2026, Tables, Ground Based Air Defence, which elements within short-range air defence capability have raised affordability concerns against available funding.

The affordability concerns relate to the proposed Mounted Short Range Air Defence capability, where current cost estimates exceed available funding. The Department is reviewing options to ensure future capability remains affordable and aligned with Defence priorities.
